St Teresa’s School OPEN DAY February 2019
St Teresa’s School was founded in 1930 by the Sisters of Mercy. Mercy Education has a long and rich history. One finds its roots in Ireland in the ministry of Catherine McAuley, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy and her co-workers. These works of Mercy established by Catherine and her followers were marked by a special concern for the needs of the poor, especially women and children.
St Teresa’s is an intimate, nurturing school of academic excellence, as well as sporting and cultural prowess, situated in the heart of Rosebank (Senior Primary and High School) and in Craighall Park (Junior Primary). We are an Independent Catholic Girls’ Mercy School whose values are collaboration, compassion, excellence, global responsibility and spiritual development.
Our school aims to provide the environment and facilities for the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, creative and physical development of all of our learners. We strive to enable the learners to value their own uniqueness in order to develop a healthy self-image. We encourage the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing world and to live at peace within it. We support and supplement the efforts of the parents in challenging each girl to achieve the best of which she is capable.
